The IV General Assembly of the Azerbaijan Tourism Agencies Association (ATAA) was held on the topic “Preparation for the Summer Season”.

During the Assembly held on May 14, issues such as the development of cooperation between the public and private sectors, expansion of relations with industry stakeholders, promotion of Azerbaijan’s tourism opportunities in foreign markets, as well as increasing the country’s tourist attractiveness and service quality were discussed.

In accordance with the Association’s charter, elections were held for the new Chairman of the Board and members of the Board. As a result of the voting, Goydaniz Gahramanov was re-elected Chairman of the Board of ATAA.

Speaking at the Assembly, Chairman of the ATAA Board Goydaniz Gahramanov noted that the main activity of the Association, which brings together around 170 travel companies, is focused on the development of the country’s tourism sector, protection of members’ rights and support for their activities, promotion of Azerbaijan as an attractive tourism destination abroad, and increasing tourist flow to the country.

He also emphasized that in recent years, ATAA has held around 300 meetings with various government agencies and organizations, air carriers, and international partners to support the recovery and development of Azerbaijan’s tourism sector. Within these meetings, bilateral and multilateral discussions were held on key industry issues.
